Genocide Awareness and Education at Alyth
Alyth Social Action will present the British premiere screening of 'The Last Survivor'. The film follows the lives of survivors of four different genocides and mass atrocities- the Holocaust, Rwanda, Darfur and Congo- focusing on each survivor’s ability to rebuild their lives in the face of tragedy and become inspiring agents of change.
Interweaving these four stories, the film is a powerful and moving testament to the strength of the human spirit and the ability we each have to make a difference to our world. Find out more at the Last Survivor website.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion which will include survivors themselves. Refreshments will be served and the event is scheduled for the evening of Monday 10th October 2011 at Alyth (North Western Reform Synagogue).
